




Since its philanthropical innovation since 2006, Human Immediate Needs has stood and worked with the communities in the grassroots supporting people to fight the ever-increasing paradox of Social instability.
HUMAN IMMEDIATE NEED operates in the Eastern region of Sri Lanka with special focus on extremely rural onsets affected by the civil unrest, natural calamities and poverty. The National Head-quarters of HIN is situated in the Eastern port town of Trincomalee.

HIN wants to connect people from different communities and Religions in to the gateway of Tolerance and understanding. To do this we create spaces for different people to a broader exposure of cultural identity where the spirit of cultural diversity is recognized and safeguarded. To achieve this HIN mobilizes platforms of Inter faith dialogues, Cultural pageants, Carnivals, and festivals to promote mutual respect and understanding among different walks and cultures.

We believe in the fact that Rural Infrastructure development is the base for fighting rural poverty and under development, We strongly advocate that the rural poor are facilitated with better housing facilities that will form the platform for healthy families and socio-economic development
